Today (28 May 2025), Mr. Thaksin Shinawatra, former Prime Minister and Advisor to the ASEAN Chair, gave a special lecture on "Drugs, Transnational Crime, Perspectives and Challenges to Sustainable Solutions" at the Office of the Narcotics Control Board (ONCB), saying that the main source of drug production is in the area of the Wa Red Army in Shan State. Within 1-2 months, the Minister of Foreign Affairs must meet with the leader of Myanmar to take action. If he cannot do so, Thailand will have to ask for permission to take action on its own. If it continues to produce, it will be considered an enemy.
